Tarek joined the group in 2020 and has almost 20 years of experience in the field of investment management, previously having been a managing director of global emerging market equities at Manulife Investment Management – Europe, based in London, and prior to that a portfolio manager at Ninety-One (formerly Investec Asset Management), also in London, focused on global and frontier emerging markets. He has an MBA from Edinburgh Business School (2007) and received his bachelor’s degree in business with a specialization in finance from the American University in Cairo (2004). He has also completed the fintech program at Oxford University.
