With more than 30 years of experience, Abel Latif joined CI Capital Securities Brokerage in 2010 as Group Head of Operations. He played a significant role in restructuring the headcount of the back office, and introduced full automation solutions for both, Brokerage and Asset Management operations. Abel Latif played a notable role in launching new services in the Brokerage division, including online trading, margin trading and custody. His efforts, along with the team, have been instrumental in the regional expansion of CI Capital’s brokerage services and operations, ranging from offering execution to post trading.

Prior to joining CI Capital, Abdel Latif spent 14 years with EFG-Hermes Securities Brokerage, where he held a range of senior positions. He was one of the key players in driving EFG Hermes’ IPOs from 1998 to 2009. After joining the EFG-Hermes Operations department, he went on to serve as Head of Operations in Egypt in 2001, prior to his appointment as Head of Operations for Saudi Arabia in 2006.Abdel Latif began his career in the banking industry at the Arab National Bank.

He holds a BA in Accounting from the Faculty of Commerce, at Cairo University.
