MENA Strategist

Responsibilities:

• Covering macroeconomic dynamics, equity market, and sector trends across the MENA region including understanding fund flows
• Understanding global and EM macro events (US rates, oil dynamics and geopolitics) and equity market trends and how this affects the MENA region
• Understanding local and MSCI index methodologies and flagging recommendations for trade ideas upon changes and rebalancing
• Developing a comprehensive database for the goal of market and stock screening
• Formulating an equity strategy to ensure maximum returns for institutional clients of CI Capital brokerage
• Marketing of MENA equity strategy to Capital’s institutional sales and clients

Level:

• Senior level

Experience:

• At least 5 years of experience in equity research, asset management, consultancy or other related fields

Qualifications:

• Bachelor degree in finance, economics, accounting, or any other related field. MSc degree or higher would be a plus
• Strong Excel modeling skills
• Passing of CFA level II would be a plus
• Strong writing and presentation skills
• Strong quantitative skills
• Knowledge in equity research and macroeconomics of the GCC
